With an extensive background in applied research, Dr. Facca-Miess focuses on utilizing quantitative business statistics and qualitative customer feedback as a foundation for strategic planning, product development, and marketing strategies. Her consulting and professional marketing experience spans varied industries including food service and hospitality; healthcare; professional services, including law firms and accounting firms; entertainment; and non-profit organizations.
Her specialization in the area of statistical analysis enables Dr. Facca-Miess to design and implement research that measures the effectiveness of organizational programs and marketing strategies, based on user perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors. Her comprehensive studies in prediction analysis allow for detailed insight into which elements of the brand experience have the greatest impact on “revenue-related” variables including sales, satisfaction, loyalty, and value perceptions.
Dr. Facca-Miess serves as Department Chair, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management, and Director of the Master of Arts in Nonprofit Administration in the Boler College of Business at John Carroll University, Cleveland Ohio, USA. She teaches courses in Applied Market Research & Analysis, Sustainable Marketing, Sustainable New Product Development, and an immersion course in Subsistence Marketplaces and Social Innovation. She holds a PhD in Economics from Goettingen University, Germany; Master of Science in Statistics, Case Western Reserve University; Master of Applied Communication Theory and Methodology, and Bachelor of Arts in Communication, both from Cleveland State University.
